Mono Bag - Ella Warm Grey with Long Leather Handles

These Ella Mono light brown shoulder bags with long leather handles are made of sisal and paper. They are extremely durable and easy to clean. The bags are handmade and very eco-friendly, achieved by using locally sourced natural fibres, sisal, paper & leather. We value sustainability by using natural and recycled materials that can be sourced locally. Sisal plants grow in the dry soil of Kenya where no chemical fertilizers are used in production. Sisal is also anti-static.

Locally sourced leather is used for the handles. Variation in the colour of the leather handles is natural as it depends on where and how the cow has been bred. The leather handles have been vegetable tanned, which is a process using organic material and natural tannins derived from the barks, leaves and branches of trees and plants. The leather is cut and stitched to the bags by skilled leather artisan partners using traditional techniques.

You can clean the paper & sisal bags with a damp cloth or rinse with water but prevent from rubbing the surface. Let dry in a warm place but not in direct sunlight. Bags made of paper are not big fans of water. To clean use the driest method possible, do not soak the material.

As each bag is handmade the size and shape may vary. The bag diameter and/or height may be about 2.5 cm / 1" smaller or larger than indicated in the size chart below.
